Uluru

The worlds greatest monolith is not just a tourist attraction- it is an ancient and sacred place for the Anangu people.

The site of Uluru, or Ayers Rock is familiar to most people whether or not they have been to Australia. Whilst the site may seem familiar, no glossy brochure (or website in this case) can provide an image that truly does justice to this magnificent monolith. Australia holidays to Uluru are the only way you can really appreciate this gem of nature. Your Uluru holiday in Australia will allow you to see the 9km wide monolith which rises 348 meters. Wide, sandy floodplain covered in spinifex and desert oak. The enormous size of the rock is astounding when you realise during your Australia holiday to Uluru that it is estimated about two thirds exist below the ground. Depending on the position of the sun during your Australia holiday in Uluru, the colour of the rock changes from shades of fiery red, pink, delicate mauve, brown and blue, and rainfall creates a silver veil over the entire rock.
